About the Role
HFSD is seeking a talented and highly motivated landscape architect/designer interested in joining our in-office, collaborative studio team.
The primary role of this position will be to assist the lead landscape architects on a range of projects. Responsibilities may depend on the project but will typically include site design, detailing, drafting and rendering (hand/digital), producing construction documents, and limited construction observation.
While experience, design and graphic skills are extremely important when it comes to filling this position, we are also looking for someone who complements the team here at HFSD. Being a small office, we work closely and collaboratively and are looking for a candidate that will be an efficient counterpart. We are seeking someone who is dependable, has a strong work ethic, and is able to keep up with a number of deadlines. Candidates must be detail-oriented, creative and excited to jump in on our variety of projects. Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program
3-5 years of professional experience at a landscape architectural firm
Exceptional graphic skills (digital and hand graphics)
Basic knowledge of local plant material
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience working in all design – construction phases
Proficient in:
AutoCAD and/or LAND F/X, SketchUp, Lumion
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.)
Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Professional licensure is desirable, but not required
